This project is about the interior design of a two-story apartment in a newly constructed residential building. The first level accommodates the living areas, the office, and a bathroom. On the second level are located the bedrooms and two bathrooms.
The contemporary character of the apartment is shaped by the seamless flooring, large clean surfaces, and simple geometries. The combination of white, gray, and anthracite surfaces interacts with oak elements and metal details in all spaces.
The living room is designed as a double-height space, making the apartment feel more spacious and comfortable. Large openings allow plenty of natural light and offer nice views, while elements such as the fireplace and the library extend vertically across both levels, creating a perceptual connection throughout the space. Built-in oak cabinets dominate the area in a linear arrangement, defining the dining and kitchen zones while also serving the functional needs of the entrance and storage. The exposed concrete ceiling adds a rough texture that contrasts with the smooth surfaces throughout the apartment.
In the sleeping areas, minimalism, natural lighting, and linear furniture and lighting elements are harmoniously combined. In the master bedroom, the functional areas are spatially arranged in a way that allows for a potential future division into two separate bedrooms.
