The project involves the renovation of a small summer house. The design aims to preserve the character of the house as a peaceful retreat with breathtaking views, seamlessly blending with nature and offering an escape from city life.
The house is oriented north, overlooking the sea. It is elevated in relation to the road and positioned against one side of the plot. The sloped terrain has been shaped into multiple stepped levels, creating small courtyards with distinct qualities. At the front of the house, facing the road, a large veranda extends the living space and serves as a key area for daily use.
The entrance is located on the side of the house. The living area is positioned at the front, directly connected to the spacious veranda. To the east, an open-plan kitchen integrates with the living room, featuring a counter that extends into the space, transforming into an island. At the back of the house, two bedrooms and a bathroom are situated. The spatial boundaries were preserved as long as they served the functional needs of the house.
Externally, the house was painted in a dark yet earthy tone, while the wooden frames were replaced with new, light-colored wooden ones, creating a striking contrast against the walls. The railings were repaired and combined with new wooden elements in a soft, natural shade. Internally, the spaces were designed with a contemporary yet relaxed aesthetic, incorporating bright colors and natural materials.
